Far Too Long

Holy Moly! I don't post for seven or so months and Blogger goes and changes everything. Geez, the things I had to go through just so I could post again.

So much has happened since my last post. Cuzzy, Odie and myself stayed true to the gym for a long time (Okies 4 months). On February 20th, that was my last time I worked out until recently. I got sick on that night and couldn't go back. I had that nasty flu or whatever it was for a whole freakin' month or more. No meds were making me better; it finally went away with some antibiotics and advair for my breathing. Anyhoo, long story short...I got sick...cuzzy's night life changed and odie's work load got hectic. Trying to get back in the swing of working out again has been tough. With Christy in sports and Cuzzy's schedule and then all the freakin' special days, we've only hit the gym a couple of times. Once the kids get out of school on summer vacation, I'll be able to go to the gym on a more reliable schedule. Now moving on...

We are working on our house. We have recently added a sunroom to our house. We are basically using that room for the kids to hang out in. We moved the video games in there with a tv and dvd player. The room is 12 feet by 18 feet. We carpeted the sunroom, living room, entry way and hallway. We also bought new furniture for the living room and moved the old furniture into the sun room for the kids. On Saturday, we had our neighbor come in and start on our bathroom. We had a shower installed, so now we are having it tiled (shower/bathtub & floors). The whole point of that story was to let you all know I am finally loving my house. I wasn't feeling it before but now its home.

The kids are doing great. Nikki finally lost her first tooth when we went to Disneyland last month. She is growing like a weed and attitude galore. A miniature Christy. **sighs** Christy has been so involved with sports, we don't have time for anything else. She received the coaches award for basketball. She just finished her track season. We don't know for sure if she medaled in the 100 meter. The school was way behind with the time keepers. Although she did medal in the 4x100m relay. Oh yeah and did I tell you, she ran for/with the 8th graders. She is only a 7th grader but quick like the 8th graders. Joseph has been doing a good job on keeping his grades up. He didn't run track this year but the coaches were looking for him. He's going back next year.

Oh yeah, this is my last year being a Girl Scout leader as least for awhile. Christy is so involved in school she doesn't have enough time for Girl Scouts any more. Nikki wants to take dance classes instead of being a Girl Scout. We don't have enough time to do both.

So thats whats been going on. Probably be a year before my next post. LOL

How Long Will It Last???

How long will it last? That is the question. I've recently started going back to the gym with my two cuzzies,
Karen and Maimee. I tried to get my sisser, Odie to join but she still has lots of excuses why she can't go so that just means she isn't ready.

I'm not sure I'm ready but still I'm excited. I've all ready been three times this week. On Tuesday, we are actually meeting with a personal trainer. I'm really excited about that because all the times I've been to the gym I've never had a personal trainer. I'm hoping he can teach me how to get in shape for Girls Night Out (GNO). I wanna be skinny by then. Do you think its possible?

I know I am gonna have to start eating healthy but you know what I did today. I went to the gym with Karen, then we went to Chili's for lunch. I had a side salad with ranch dressing, a spinach type eggroll appetizers, crispy chicken strips, corn-on-the-cob and french fries. Then if that wasn't enough, we went to Trader Joe's. I bought some chocolate covered bing cherries and something new, chocolate covered sunflower seeds. Man were those yummy.

I hope this last long enough for me to lose some weight and for me to start feeling good about myself. It'd be nice if I could look like I'm losing some weight too. Anyhoo, thats what I've been up to that and doing the Girl Scout troop again.

A New Layout

Ok here it is! I know its really not that different from any of my other layouts but I love the image that I put together for it. I'm gonna try and make some changes to my about me section but for now its going to have to stay like it is.

I still need to add my little Quilting Bee back on the main page but I'm just a little busy right now. I will fix that within the next couple of days.

Busy Busy Busy

As most of you know, the kids are back in school. With the kids being back in school, I know what comes next. Sports, Girl Scouts, Family things... So I'm busy as heck. I have a Leader meeting tonight but before that meeting I have to take Joseph to the Orthodontist, then I have to go to Christy's volleyball game and then to the meeting which is at 7 PM.

Yes, I said Christy's volleyball game. She tried out for the team and made it. She is also the Team Captain. Yay!!! We are so proud of her.

On top of all that, Joseph is going to be driving very soon. I can't believe how much it cost for kids to take that in school now days. When I went to school, it didn't cost my parents a thing.

Oh yeah, and then my girls want me to sign them up for dance classes. I've been slow on that roll because there isn't enough days in a week. Geeezzzzz!

Anyhoo, I'm tired just typing and thinking of all the stuff I have to do. Hope you like the new layout.
