Busy, Busy, Busy
Sorry I haven't updated in awhile but I've been busy. I changed Odie's layout. I changed Christy's layout. I started Rancine's site and gave her a new layout, blog, tagboard and mood indicator.
Girl Scout Cookies again!
I have also been busy with Girl Scout cookies. I finally got a cookie dad this year. Yayyyy! He is doing all the leg work but I still feel like I'm the one doing the order. I don't feel at ease without doing it myself. I think its a control thing! Do you think it is?
High School Already?
I will have a high-schooler next year so I attended an orientation so he can learn of some of the electives they will be offering. He is big into drawing. We actually met Cordova High School 's Art teacher. She seemed to have a lot of great ideas that Joseph seemed to be interested in. He is already beginning to look forward to being in her class.
Closets
I found the perfect closet organizers. They are a little expensive but I still want them. Now I have to persuade hubby they are exactly what we want and need. LOL Easier said than done.

Highlighting Ones Hair
Okies, this is the story. My sister, Jodi came over yesterday. She is going through a tough time with her "now" ex-boyfriend. Yes, a big break up after being together for about 9 years. Not only is she going through a tough time, but the family is as well. We love her and feel her pain.
As if that isn't enough, we recently found out in ONE day that two of our cousins have cancer. One cousin has a brain tumor and is going to have surgery either today or tomorrow. The other cousin has stomach cancer. Both of these cousins are the sons of my aunt, Ellen, whom died of cancer herself at the age of 40.
Needless to say, we needed something to pick us up. We went to do some shopping. First, I took my sister to lunch and while we were sitting there, I told her that I wanted a new hair style. So after lunch we decide to go to Barnes & Noble to take a look at some hairstyling magazines. I actually looked and looked and didn't see a hair style I liked at all but my sister saw what she wanted.
To make a long story short, she ended up buying some hair lightening stuff. I told her I've never done color like that but she said lets do it anyways. So we came home and I put some highligher on her hair.
I started out great and had her look in the mirror to make sure it was what she wanted. Well she told me to add some here and there, so I did. Now I should have waited for her to wash it out before going gung ho into putting some in my hair. But I didn't!
OMG! After washing out the bright pink coloring (which was only pink so you could see where you were putting the highlighter), she washed hers out first. Can you say COPPER on a brunette!!! She immediately went to the store to buy some hair coloring so we could change our hair back. She bought like a burgundy color. Hers looked good after changing it back. But mine! Well lets just say, I am sending her back to the store to get my real color back. I couldn't deal with the orangy copper color OR the purplish burgundy!
OMG! Never again, I tell ya!

The Biggest Loser
Has anyone been watching the Biggest Loser show? They had the final show and Ryan won by 1 percent. Sucks to be Gary.
Anyhoo, they are casting for the second set of shows. I want to apply but do you think I will? I have to make a video tape of myself, telling why I think I should be picked for the show. They are also looking for family members to participate. I am trying to talk my sister, Francine into joining with me.
She doesn't want to go on a show that will show all her fat to the world. I guess I can't blame her but I keep telling her -- $250,000. I'm thinking of my house renovations and my kids. Not to mention, if I lost all this weight, I would be so much healthier. Thats the bottom line here. I want to live longer to enjoy my children!

Yay! Bee-Prizes!
I recently did some work on my quilt. I cleaned it for the first time in 2+ years. Let me tell you, it was pretty dirty! As I was cleaning my quilt, I also did some additions to it. Those additions I donated to the Quilting Bee.
Anyhoo, I received a couple new 'shrooms and patches today. If you go to the Quilting Bee, you will see that I am currently one of the "Bees of the Week." LOL I just wanted to tell everyone because I am so excited! Look at my new patches and 'shrooms. Aren't they so cute?

Changes
If you start clicking through my site and things aren't working, its because I am finally messing around with stuff.
I know I should do it and then upload all at one time but I just want to get things done here and there. If I wait to do it all at once, I may not get it done. Yanno, how one can get side-tracked. Yeah.
Anyhoo, thats what is going on right now. My main fix is gonna be my Quilting Bee Quilt.
