I know the holidays are just about here but for some reason I'm not feeling the season quite yet. I've been depressed lately. Is this what happens when you hit over the hill? If it is, I don't want any part of it!
I've gotten most my Christmas shopping done. When I say "most", that means I have the kids and hubby's presents all bought. Those are the ones that count so if I didn't do anymore shopping it wouldn't bother me one bit ... Okay, it might bug me a little. So I'll have to finish up because I don't want to be caught in the day before Christmas shopping.
I don't know how I manage to forget one person every year but I'm one of those that is shopping on Christmas eve. I know, I know, that sucks.
Anyhoo, sisser wanted me to update so there it is. If you haven't gotten your Christmas shopping done yet, get your shopping done early.
Are you finished doing your shopping?

.:9:58 AM:. Christmas Shopping
Yesterday, hubby and I went to do a little Christmas shopping. OMG, I can't believe how crowded the stores are already. There were so many shoppers out that I was glad to get some of my shopping done.
I, usually wait until the last minute for most stuff but I really think I might do some more shopping today. I can tell this is going to be a bad season as far as lines and crowds go.
My advise to everyone. Get your shopping done quickly before the stores explored from so many in them. Good luck too. You'll need it. LOL

.:9:56 PM:. Free Stuff
Today, Lawrence and I went to this time share kind of presentation at a place called Treadwest. We had to listen to the presentation for about 90 minutes. The presentation wasn't really that bad.
We have been to other time share presentations but this on was really different. Yanno, how time shares make you buy the same place, the same week, the same amount of space, year after year? Well this one was different. You could take a couple of days at a time if you wanted instead of a whole week on your vacation. You could take it anytime of the year. You could take your vacation more than once a year if you wanted to.
Although the price was pretty reasonable, we didn't take them up on the deal. They wanted a down payment and then monthly payments but that doesn't fit in our budget right now.
Anyhoo, we got free stuff for just listening to them. First, we got a "Champagne Cruise on San Fransisco Bay," second, we got "Two 25 dollar American Express Gift Cards," & third, we got a "4 day 3 nights accommendations at any of these listings; Hawaii, Las Vegas, Reno, Mexico and a few others I can't remember. Of course, we have to provide our own transportation.
Back in September, I bought a day bed for my girls. Day beds are great for freeing up space. And my girls really needed some more space in their room.
So my sister, Mary, helped me move their queen size bed out of the girls bedroom. First, we took out the matress and placed it in my garage. Second, we took the box spring out. Now the box spring wasn't really heavy but it was just ackward.
I was wearing sandles when we moved it (A big NO NO!) We managed to get the box spring into the garage BUT the very last step my sister took, I didn't! So the box spring totally crunched my big toe on my left foot. When I say crunched, I mean the box spring hit my toe nail and lifted it from my nail bed. It immediately turned purple and blue. There wasn't any blood or anything BUT it hurt like hell. I can still feel the throbbing if I think about it. LOL
As days passed by, I noticed my toe nail was lifting but still no blood or anything. Finally, I started messing with it after showering and I noticed it looked like my toe nail needed to be popped.
I didn't pop it right away because I was a big whimp. So a day or two goes by and I decided I was going to pop it. When I popped it, nothing but clear fluids came out and the throbbing stopped. This went on for almost a week. Every time my toe would throb, I would squeeze the clear fluids out. That seemed to stop the throbbing.
Now about a week and a half passed, I could smell this rancid smell. Guess what? It was my big toe. It was a sour, gross smell. I actually thought it was my neices diaper. So I checked her to see if she needed to be changed. It wasn't her. It was my toe!
My hubby said we needed to clean it out with peroxide. So off to the store he goes and brings it back and makes me soak my foot. With all that soaking, my toe nail was really starting to lift now. I could see completely under it. I didn't want to pull it off though, even though my sister and mom kept telling me to just take it off.
Anyhoo, I was playing with the kids in the livingroom one night and my toe nail caught on the carpet and made it go like in a "L" shape. It was a bit painful so I eased it back the way it was supposed to. With my sister, telling me to just take it off. I, finally decided to take my toe nail completely off my toe a couple days later.
My toe looks so gross. I keep trying to show it to my cuzzy and she doesn't want to look at it. I wonder why? LOL
I took a picture of my toe so maybe one day I might post it so you all can see. Or Not!!!
