My Eyes Are Still RED!!!
Today, I had an appointment with an eye doctor. This is the first time I have had my eyes checked in about 2 years. Now keep in mind that I recently had a birthday and am now officially "Over the Hill."
As I am listing all the problems I am having with my eyesight, my doc looks at me and just grins. What the hell was he grinning at? Does he find my bad eyesight amusing? Did I have something in my teeth? Anyhoo, he checks my eyes out and finds that they are a bit worse than they were 2 years ago.
Of course, I had to have my eyes dilated for the doc to check them out so as he is sitting there I feel like I can't really focus on his features in his face. It was all a blur. The harder I tried to focus the blurrier he got.
After we talked about all my eye problems, the doc asked if I wanted the reversal drops so my eyes would return to normal quicker. I said sure. He said that no one ever wants more drops and it did make me think for a minute but it was just a thought.
The lady came in and put the drops in my eyes and said it would burn a little. A LITTLE she said. Holy Chit! That junk burned like hell. My eyes turned RED immediately. They kept watering, and watering, and watering... And she is trying to get me to make my decisions on my new glasses. Geezzz lady, I can't see a damn thing! LOL
Needless to say, I won't be taking those drops ever again. Folks, my appointment was at 11 AM and it is now 11:43 PM and my eyes are still RED!!!

Well its hump day and the week is half way done. That means I only have a few more days to get through this very busy week.
Quilting Bee Stuff
I got a patch
from the quilting bee because I have been a member since August 2002. I am a Honeycomb Apartment Resident now. Yayyyy!!!I have also received more patches for my
quilt. Yayyyy!
Girl Scouts
I have another GS class tonight. I am hoping this one is more fun than business. The class I took on Monday was mostly business. I wanna do fun things.
Then I have my troop meeting tomorrow. We will be doing parent cookie training so that our girls can stay safe and sell lots of yummy cookies. After the meeting, we are supposed to go to another troops karaoke night. LOL. Don't worry, I'm not gonna be the one doing any singing. I can't carry a tune nor can I do the back up dancing. LMAO! I have not one ounce of rhythm. This sucks because I absolutely love watching people dance and wish I could dance even a little.

Busy, Busy, Busy...
OMG, my calendar is so full. You would think I have some sort of life. Now we all know that can't be true! LOL Anyhoo, my whole week is full of busy stuff. Meetings, classes and appointments, and not to mention family stuff too.
I do kind of like being busy except for when I don't know whether I am coming or going. What was I saying? Oh nevermind, I remember now. I'm a busy little (okay big) bee.
With all this I still managed to get another little patch for my
quilt. Yayyyy!
OH Yeah and I already want a new layout. I think I worked on this one so much that I'm tired of looking at it already.

Girl Scouts
Anyhoo, I usually have my Girl Scout meetings on Thursdays but we have been having problems with places to have the meetings that I had to have it on Wednesday this week.
The meeting went well. I have 9 girls in my troop and can you believe it, all 9 showed up!!! Yayyyyyy! I almost passed out when I kept seeing girls come in. Really it was a great feeling!
And yanno what? I can't help but think its the calm before the storm. For those of you who know me, yanno that I was troop cookie mom last year. I vowed to never do it again. Ughhhhhh! Well that didn't last, guess who is cookie mom again? Yep, you guessed it. ME!!! It wasn't by choice this time tho, I thought I had a cookie mom but she didnt show up for the mandatory training. Yep, so I got stuck doing it again. I guess its ok tho. At least I know what I am doing this year at least I think I do.
Bingo Fever
OMG! I really wanna go play bingo but I really can't afford to go right now. I can actually go but because I spent so much at Christmas, I feel guilty trying to spend more money to go have some fun.
Yanno once you have bingo on your brain or you hear the word bingo, all of a sudden you can't think of anything else. I am trying to keep busy with my blog because once 6:30 PM rolls around I know I won't go. Even if a gazillion dollars fell into my lap. Why? You ask. Well, I hate going somewhere late.
Hmmmm, but yanno what. Every time I see someone come in late and I even make a comment about it...that person wins. Do you think I should go? Hmmmm, decisions, decisions. I could be that next person that walks in late and then wins.

Nahhhh, my luck isn't that great...I guess I'll stay home and watch some television. Maybe I will watch S.W.A.T. again for the upteenth time. I just love the heck outta Colin Farrell. o0o0o. He is such a cutie.

New Layout
I will be putting up my new layout sometime this week. I am hoping I will have it ready by tomorrow even tonight. I am trying to add a a couple of new little things so when I do air it, it doesn't look exactly the same. Please check it all out.
Does anyone know where or how I can get one of those little baby calendars for my site? I want a little one that I can put little baby images for birthdays and stuff like that. Thanks for any help.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
I hope everyone's holidays were all they expected. As for me, the stress is over!!! YAYYYYYYYY!!!
Even though I was put under all that stress of the holidays, I survived! Christmas dinner was great! My potato salad wasn't as good as it normally is though. I think it was the whole stress factor. Yeah that's it, I'll blame the stress factor. I mean, "Yes, it was the stress!" LOL
Anyhoo, Christmas was worth all the money we spent this year. I didn't realize that I had bought the kids so much stuff BUT they got everything on their lists. And believe me, each of their lists were a mile long. No wonder hubby kept telling me to quit buying them so much. ehehehe It was so worth it all when I saw the looks on each of their faces especially the little ones. She just loves the heck outta Santa. He is her new best friend!
Yanno once Christmas is over and everyone leaves your house, you think oh good we are all alone now. NOPE, not us! My cousin from outta state came to visit so I had more entertaining to do. Yayyyy! NOT! I was so ready to just have my immediate family home and have some time to sit down and relax. But instead, I had to cook dinner once again. And for those folks that know me, I DON'T COOK unless I have to. Good grief! Next year, I think I wanna go on strike from the holidays. The visit turned out to be nice and everyone is home safe.
After a couple of days rest, its time to bring in the new year. Here I am thinking we are gonna stay home and watch some movies. NOPE, not us! Donny (my brother-in-law) calls and says, "Hey Jan, aren't you guys coming ova to bring in the new year? We are barbecuing some ribs and tri-tip." So yanno what that meant, yep we are going to Donny's house.
Now I received that phone call about 6 PM and I hadn't showered all day thinking I was just gonna stay home and veg. So guess what? Yeah I have to shower, get the kids ready & get hubby ready and get there as soon as we can.
Now all you ladies out there, know it takes the guy the longest to get ready even though you are multi-tasking all over the place. I had time to shower, give my little one a shower, get her hair done & get her dressed, help my older daughter pick out something to wear (yanno young girlies, she can never make up her mind as to what to wear) & get her hair done and then I had to get after my son to get off the video games and get dressed. After taking care of all that, hubby is lifting weights in the garage! OMG, no wonder why he is always behind in time. He takes forever to do anything. Anyhoo, we finally get all done and out the door we go. It is now 9 PM! OMG 9 PM! We still have to go to the store. Yayyyyy! Raley's was still open.
Dinner was great! Hubby had a few drinks. I didn't because I was our disignated driver. We brought in the new year with some champagne, watched a movie and then home we went after 2 AM. OMG, it was raining and I can't see worth a chit at night. I must have been going like 20 MPH and making sure no drunk driver was gonna go through a red light. We finally got home safe after checking on my mom to make sure she made it home too (She went to bingo).
