It's Friday!!!

1. Are you going to school this year?

No, I am not going to school this year. I have been thinking about signing up for some business classes but we'll see how that goes.

2. If yes, where are you going (high school, college, etc.)? If no, when did you graduate?

I graduated from high school a long time ago (1982). I graduated from college with my AA in 1997.

3. What are/were your favorite school subjects?

I love math and some science!

4. What are/were your least favorite school subjects?

My least favorite subject was social studies.

5. Have you ever had a favorite teacher? Why was he/she a favorite?

My favorite teacher was Mrs. White. She taught 4th & 5th grade math. She took the time to explain in a way a child could understand. She made math click with me, hince the reason I loved math so much. Thank you Mrs. White.

KIDS ARE BACK TO SCHOOL

Its been one of those days!!! The alarm went off way too early. Well ok it didn't but boy it sure felt like it did. When the alarm went off, I thought I had just fell asleep 10 minutes prior. ::yawns::

I woke the kids up and jumped in the shower. I was hoping the shower would wake me up. BUT it didn't work. I was still tired ... dragging ass ... I go to check on the kids because they are too quiet and they are still in bed snoring ...well that was it, I had to start yelling. No way were they gonna sleep in any longer while I had to be up and about ...

Anyhoo, we finally are ready. Backpacks packed up. Kids dressed in new clothes and shoes. Hair done all nice and purdy. So off we go!

First, I dropped off my oldest daughter. She started fourth grade today. She is starting in a new school and new grade. She looks a little sad because she is so shy and doesn't think she will get new friends. My heart goes out to her because she had to do this last year for the last six weeks of school. Yanno hubby retired so we moved back home to Sacramento after being in one place for four years. She had to leave all her friends in the old school. Then, she was supposed to attend one school (CG) but all the third grade classes were full so they overflowed her to another school (PJS). She finally made friends and then school was over for the summer. ::just her luck:: Now, they move her back to the school she was supposed to be at in the first place and has no friends and has to start all over. My poor wittle girl.

Second, I dropped off my son. He started in seventh grade today. He is happy not to be a sixth grader this year. He figures he has a little clout now that he isn't on the bottom of the totem pole. As I drive up to the front of the school, he is practically ready to jump out of the van. With half his body in the front seat and the other half in the back seat, he kisses his little sister and tells her bye and to have a good day at her new school. :::Awwwwww, how cute!!::: Leans over to me and kisses me on the cheek. Bye mom! And off he goes!!!

Third, my hubby and I decided that we were going to enroll my youngest daughter in preschool. So, I arrive at the preschool (
La Petite) only to find out that the director failed to let me know my daughter had to have a physical before she could join the classroom. Needless to say, my little one was not happy that she couldn't go to school today. I get the necessary paper work I need to take to her doctor and go to my car. I call to make her an appointment for hopefully today. I explained to the appointment clerk what I needed ::: an appointment for a physical for today::: She could have made me wait until next week BUT she was very nice and kind. She squeezed us in at 3 pm because she knew my daughter was so looking forward to going to school ASAP. After the appointment, I drove back to the preschool and presented my paperwork. My little one will be able to attend tomorrow's classes. :o)~ Even though we found out she will be able to attend tomorrow. My little one doesn't want to leave the preschool so I ask if she could go and see her new classroom. The lady behind the desk was thrilled to show my daughter her new classroom because her little face was so lit up. After seeing everything, all miniature things, we drive home and tell the whole family over and over that her new classroom has a little sink for her and a little water faucet. :)

With all that said, I'm tired!!! I'm heading to bed.

Oh yeah one more thing. Hubby worked his first day at the new job today and had to go back. Ughhhh already at them having him too much.

SWIPER

I don't know if Swiper is a boy or a girl yet. I hope to find out soon. As for now, we are calling Swiper, a boy.

I took some pictures of
Swiper today so please take a look. He is already showing that he belongs in my family. Swiper has been in the house for 2 days and already showing signs of being spoiled rotten.

Swiper loves to bite my gold bracelets. He is starting to play with his toys that I bought for him. And he is eating like crazy now.

I am told he is a heavy pied cockatiel, which I'm not for sure what that is just yet. I will have to do a bit of research and get back to you on that. I know it has something to do with his coloring and the way his patches of feathers look. At least I think.

A New Birdie In Town

Summer for the kids will soon be ending. My two older children will be starting back to school on August 25th. My littlest one is so advanced and bored with things around the house that I have decided to enroll her into a preschool of some sort.

I would like for her to go to a
Montessori school. I know she is more advanced then most her age. She is my baby that knew her ABC's at age 1. She knows her colors and numbers up to 15. She can also hear one note from a song and tell you the song.

Recently, I went out and bought the kids their school clothes. Of course, I had to buy the little one some too, even before I knew for sure if I was going to put her in school. Now that she has new clothes and a new backpack, I will definitely have to find a preschool for her even if its only for a couple of hours a day. She is very excited!!

Now with all that said, this is the reason I have a new birdie. The thing is I HATE BEING ALONE!!! If my little one does go to school, I have to have someone or something at home with me. Just ask my cuzzy if you don't believe me. I, once called her and her used-to-be hubby, if I could come over because I have that fear of being by myself. I can't even go shopping by myself. I get lonely!!!

Anyhoo, I have shopped for 4 days for a birdie and finally picked one out today. I will be posting a picture of our birdie here soon. I want to give the little birdie a chance to get comfy with all of us first before I go snapping all kinds of pics of the little thing.

I let my youngest daughter pick the name for the little birdie and she has chosen "Swiper". If you know anything about childrens shows, she got the name from the show "Dora The Explorer". She is a huge fan! :o)~ "Swiper, No Swiping!"

Okies, I think its time to go ni ni. Bird shopping is a tough job. Stay tuned for pics of our very own SWIPER!

B I N G O

I went to bingo last night. I was on (meaning i only needed one number to bingo) all night. Geez, I just couldn't hit it. I guess I wanted it too badly. You know how sometimes, you want things so much that you never get it. Well thats what happened at bingo. Ughhhhh!! I should have stayed home.

You know I wouldn't be saying all that if I had won. LOL If I won last night, I would be singing, I'm in the money, I'm in the money today. BUT do you see me singing. NO!!

Anyhoo, I came home from bingo and my hubby wanted to watch a movie with me. Earlier in the day, I had bought
Bringing Down The House, starring Steve Martin and Queen Latifah. OMG, it was so funny. I love both actors! A couple of my favorite lines "You got me straight trippin boo", "Swing it you coco goddess" and my favorite, favorite one...as the son is looking at the naughty magazine... "Dad, what's a rack?" "Its a country!" Okies, guess you had to be there but it just hit my funny bone. Everyone should see this movie. Thumbs up from the one and only bratty!!

WHEW!!!

Now that I can finally make a journal entry, I'm not sure what I want to talk about. Okies, well I kind of know what I want to say but there is soooo much in my head I don't know where to start. I guess with something boring like my day.

The day started out slow. I woke up to silence which in my house is amazing in itself. I either wake up to yelling children or my cousin calling on the telephone. :o)~ I could hear muffled talking in the livingroom. All three of my children were up, they were talking softly as though they didn't want to wake me up. ::FAINTS:: I tried to take advantage of them not knowing I was awake. I turned on the water to start my shower and in rush my girls. "Mommy, whatcha doin'?" ::they were grinnin' from ear to ear:: I managed to take a shower and get dressed without any interruptions.

I did a little straightening up and watched television. Then I took the kids to mom's house so I could have a break. I really wanted to get moveable type put on my website since my blogger was down. With the kids here, it gets really tough to concentrate.

After dropping the kids off, I get home and hubby is already here. The phone rang when I walked in. It was mom. She says "Jan, I forgot to tell you that you have some mail waiting here." Ugghhhhh!!! Now that means I have to go back, when will I be able to relax and work on my website? Then I hear mom say "Oh it looks like you have your income tax check here!" You know I was a happy camper! "Mom, I'll be right over!!!"

Woooo Hooooooo!!! I got more income tax cause I have three kiddies. :::thinking to myself --- why didn't I have more?::: SLAPS Self!!! Get that outta your mind lady!

Needless to say, hubby and I went out for dinner, did a little shopping then came home.

OH yeah! The best part of today. I came home sat at the puter. I read some of the moveable type stuff and it seemed really complicated so I signed onto my halsoft tracker and my cuzzy wasn't online so logged out again. I couldn't understand the moveable type stuff so watched a little television. Came back to the puter and started messing with my blogger and I figured it out!!! Can you believe it???

Yayyyyyyyyyy for me!!!

.:10:55 PM:.
OMG!!!

Did I figure this thing out?? I think my blogger is finally fixed. Now I have to figure out my archives thingy...

WOOOOO HOOOOOO!!!!

I really think I am back in business!!!
